I have few Stanley references myself, but Todd has quite a few and as of the last time we discussed this, he has not found a catalog entry for Defiance chisels that match the No. 750. It seems implausible that Stanley would sell the exact same chisel in both their high end line and their low end line and not make some distinction between them.

The chisel is owned by our friend Thomas in Denmark. I have now added photos of this chisel to the above post. Almost all of my Eskilstunasteel Garanti and Esteel chisels come from Canadian sources, including one from a local garage sale. They seem quite common in Canada. Gensco chisels, however, seem much more common in the US.

There is almost nothing out there from collectors on plastic handled chisels. I’ve found that Stanley stamped the chisel information on the upper part of the steel shank somewhere before 1960
