02-11-2020·Because you are working with trim and baseboards, I would recommend using an interior, paintable, latex caulk. I recommend latex because it cleans up easily, dries fast, and it’s also inexpensive. Choose white if you’re painting the trim. If the trim is wood, find a color close to the finished wood color or use clear.

I have removed all caulking and silicone sealant from around tub and the fixed glass panel. As well, I’ve scraped out loose grout at bottom edge of tile where it meets the tub. I will now try to remove caulk and silicone remnants from the tub with alcohol or heat, as I can’t scrape any more of it away.
06-03-2017·On the other hand, caulk is terrible for filling nail holes and other holes in wood because over time it will shrink and cause a divot. And wood filler is a terrible choice for filling gaps in trim – it would take forever to apply and sand. But either one in the right situation can be magical!

Indoors, it is a mid-grade caulk that you might use for gaps and joints in painted woodwork and where wall tile meets drywall or other materials in relatively dry locations. It's not recommended for tile-to-tile joints or for plumbing fixtures because it doesn't last as long as pure silicone—and these are areas that don't need a paintable caulk, in any case.
